On the other hand: EA's Command & Conquer 4 requires continuous Internet Access

Good news, bad news. The same week that EA gets kudos for removing SecuROM from Battlefield Bad Company 2 (at least on Steam), the company releases Command & Conquer 4 with the requirement that the game has a continuous Internet connection... the same model that Ubisoft is being widely criticized for.

The interesting question is ... why?

It could be that EA does not have confidence in either additional downloadable content (DLC) or online play for C&C4.. the $10 strategy and the multi-player anti-piracy strategy, respectively.
